NIKILL STOPS BY AND TALKS NEW SINGLE "STUBBORN" AND MORE CURRENT PROJECTS!

Packed with Heavy Emotions, Emo Artist Nikill Drops “Stubborn,” ft. Playtrixxx

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ - Independent artist Nikill is coming on strong with his latest single, “Stubborn,” a fusion of alternative hip hop and lo-fi style that forms the perfect emo sound.

“I have a dark sense of humor, and I am able to put my feelings into song,” said Nikill. “My lyrics and the way I talk is about what I’ve been through - abuse and bad relationships.”

Nikill is a rising emo artist who loads his music with haunting lyrics about broken relationships, trust issues, abuse, and being different. “Stubborn” represents the best of Nikill to this point in his career.

Featuring hardcore rapper Playtrixxx, “Stubborn” describes how Nikill is different from everyone else, and in fact, he is very stubborn. As the song concludes, the message is clear: he will make it, and the girl he sings about only wants him for what he can do. There is no love in the relationship.

“I listen to music every single day, and I want to be different,” said Nikill. “I put that bet on myself, and I am different. I combined all my role models and devised my sound.”

The addition of Playtrixxx on the track gives it credibility and boosts Nikill’s delivery. Citing Playtrixxx as a mentor, Nikill explained recording “Stubborn” was an emotional ride. “I remember all my songs because I practiced them before recording. There’s no filter, and I put all my emotions out. That’s when you are brutally honest - with the lyrics.”

Listening to Nikill’s music becomes an obsession, from the hook that hits like a brain worm to the flow and pitch that gets in your soul. For Nikill, music saved his life - and now, he is sharing it with the world. “When I was 18, I felt so depressed and didn’t want to live. The only way I could deal with it was through my music,” he said. “Now the haters are now telling me to keep going.”

Using minimal autotune when recording, Nikill layers his voice with vocals to create his style, which is singing mixed with rap. “Stubborn” has a rap song’s lyrical aspects and beat, yet it is not rap. “Stubborn” is in its own genre - emo.

Using the name “Nikill” because he “kills” the beat, the New Jersey native knows he is paving the way for other emo artists, but, more importantly, Nikill conveys his emotions in every song. As his discography grows, so does his musical maturity. “I’m not making music for everyone,” he said. “I’m making music for people who have been through abuse and have no hope. I am the inspiration for them to keep going.”

Nikill acknowledges his music talks explicitly to people who are intoxicated or high. Looking ahead to his EP, “Regrets in da Air,” which will drop near the end of February, Nikill said, “Whole album is a drug-laced rap. I’m f*cked up, and I don’t know what’s happening. We are talking about doing weed or alcohol and putting our emotions in the songs.”

As a rising emo artist, Nikill offers advice to anyone struggling as he did at a young age, “You can do anything you set your mind to. If you have your own style, if you can learn from role models, you can make your own lane.”

With a drug-laced voice singing about the depressing aspects of our lives, Nikill’s “Stubborn” is a beautiful surreal journey.

DYLAN CARBONE STOPS BY AND TALKS NEW SINGLE "GONE" AND MORE CURRENT PROJECTS!

Mixing Cultures, Dylan Carbone Brings Electronic Pop Vibes To Life With Latest Single ‘Gone’

DYLAN CARBONE (16:06)

LOS ANGELES - With a fresh new sound, Dylan Carbone is one of the hardest-working artists in the industry. He hits the stage at Disneyland five to eight times a week singing cover songs as well as original material. And when not performing, he still finds time to get in the studio and produce fresh tracks.

“My music is a fusion of who and what I am,” said Dylan Carbone. “Most of my songs are like personal diary letters to the world. I don’t stick to one genre, but my favorite is R&B and soul. The curveball is that I like to commingle my songs in Spanish and English. I love the R&B sound in Spanish.”

Carbone’s songs span a multitude of styles, including Latin, R&B, Reggaeton, and pop. While many artists fit into these genres, Carbone separates himself from the pack. Often called the Latin Chris Brown or Latin Bruno Mars, Carbone combines English and Spanish for a perfect blend, bringing a fresh sound to mainstream vibes.

“English is my first language, but Spanish is considered my love language,” he said. Carbone’s mother was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and his father is a third-generation Italian.

Whether good love, bad love or anything between, love is unmistakably a recurring theme in Carbone’s work. The singer/songwriter is drawn to the mysterious magic that envelopes the emotion.

“Amor can be in so many different situations, relations, especially my personal life,” Carbone said. “Love seems to be my thang. It inspires me, it moves me. I can also hear a piano lick or cool flute, which triggers something in me. That’s how I write and make my music. It’s my art, my music is my canvas.”

“Gone,” Carbone’s latest single guides us along the rocky road of love. With a banging tempo and harmonies that perfectly accompany his soulful Latin voice, the track is the perfect tune for busting some moves on the dance floor or going for a drive.

The single was written lightning fast. In 15 minutes Carbone created a sonic journey based on the memory of his past love breaking things off on his birthday.

“I needed a way to get my feelings out,” Carbone said. “I heard the beat and knew it was ‘the’ beat for it.”

In his unique style, the Southern California native directs his lyrics to his ex-girlfriend as she proposes an ultimatum of marriage or break up, and Carbone chooses break-up. His fans ride along as spectators on the emotional and surprising ride.

Instead of creating a heartbreak vibe, “Gone” accompanies a music video that mixes Carbone’s freedom with the memories of his relationship’s turbulent moments. The video has amassed more than a half million views on YouTube, illustrating Carbone’s star power.

“‘Gone’ is more skin deep and not real deep love. I throw shots at her and wish her luck, but I proceed in saying it won’t be as good as what we had,” Carbone said.

Released by Epic Entertainment Records, Carbone takes an active role in the studio, working with producer Levi Mitchell and studio engineers to fine-tune the mix and put his personal touches on the track.

As thousands of fans across the globe are attracted to Carbone’s remarkable knack for musical mastery, he stated, “To experience pop and R&B how you haven’t heard it before, listen to me for a new experience.”

President Hill Uses Southern Trap Versatility in “You Feeling It Shawty,” As Preview to “The Elected Official” Album

ATLANTA - As an underground and independent artist, President Hill entered the industry with a banger. “You Feeling It Shawty” is gaining traction as fans discover the southern rapper, President Hill.

“I went from the street life to working a few jobs to running successful businesses outside of music,” said President Hill. “I kept grinding it out on the low in the home studio, building my catalog, and staying steady with my craft. Now, I say this humbly; I’m ready.”

President Hill described his musical style, “I can go in so many lanes, but it is pop-ish, trap-ish, and indie. It’s really of a mixture of those. I also like to slice some country stuff in there with the southern baseline.”

As a CEO of Merciless Nation record label, producer, writer, and performer, President Hill released “You Feeling It Shawty,” a single off his upcoming 22-track album, “The Elected Official.”

Released in Nov. 2021, the club jam “You Feeling It Shawty” has gained a following for its laid-back, old-school rap of the early 2000s. Born and raised in Atlanta, President Hill uses “shawty” in daily conversations. While its verse invites you to dig in, the chorus is fun and takes listeners back in time, from the pounding bassline to President Hill dropping expressive lyrics with his smoky voice.

One thing that puts President Hill’s music in a different category from other trap artists is the beat modifications. “I like to change the beat up at least three times in every song while constantly injecting power into the beat,” he said. “So, my flow pattern will switch up with the beat pattern and keep you guessing.”

“The Elected Official” is a collection of songs that showcases President Hill flexing his muscles on the rights and wrongs of the world. “I’m dealing with regular pop stuff to play in the club, Black on Black crime issues, people we lost, putting value back in the family,” he explained. “At the same time, it’s still gangsta.”

Rising from the days when he spent his days hustling on the street, President Hill is on a mission to change the next generation’s mindset. “When you have talent, you can sway the next generation,” he said. “We can explore our impact and still affect the next generation. It can still be gangsta and classy.”

President Hill is a rising artist just getting started with no signs of slowing down. “If you dig this flavor,” he said, “just wait until you see what is next.

MUSIC RECORDING ARTIS "GWYNN GOLD" STOPS BY AND TALKS NEW RECORD 'LAND OF HONEY' AND MORE!

Gwynn Gold Mixes Her Classical Background and Love For Classic Rock on Record ‘Land of Honey’

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST BELOW!

GWYNN GOLD (27:29)

Download the MP3

PITTSBURGH, PA – Gwynn Gold goes from classical to classic rock on her debut album Land of Honey. Think of the soulfulness and emotions of a Carol King or Carly Simon song, or the jazz fusionrock compositions of Steely Dan, or blues emulated in the Rolling Stones or the Steve Miller Band’s music. That is the range of Gwynn Gold’s classic rock and pop sound. It’s not a nostalgic effect but brings to the forefront Gold’s passion for making music, mixing her operatic background and love for ‘70s rock with her dynamically expressive vocals.

The Pittsburgh-based singer grew up watching opera programs such as the Three Tenors, learning piano at 6-years-old, while her father introduced her to bands such as the Grateful Dead. Gold decided to pursue an opera career, studying under the guidance of singer and professor Wolfgang Brendel at Indiana University. She then recognized a songwriting path with the ability to write her own music, and left college to pursue it full-time. “I’d rather be pursuing a path of releasing my own material, that I can have real-life experience with,” says Gwynn. “So that’s how I decided to switch over.”

Land of Honey has Gwynn showing the world what her voice can do, backed by a band whose accolades span from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector, and The Allman Brothers. Produced by Jimmy Hoyson who has worked with artists ranging from Stevie Nicks, Michael Jackson, Iggy Pop, and Lou Reed.

“Jimmy is very close to me now and he will work on the next album with me. Throughout our time working together, he has become a mentor in helping me transition from the classical attitudes to more of a classic rock idea,” says Gold about Hoyson. “He’s helped me with the way you present something, while trying to switch over, and he really did a great job with that.”

“My Blue Eyes” is a powerful ballad with a music video symbolizing Gold’s emotions while representing others. Gwynn took photos sent to her my friends and family that symbolized their personal experiences as the background for “My Blue Eyes” and set the scene through the halls of her local golf club with professional dancer Rocco Duranti choreographing a cathartic dance matching with the rhythm and theme of the song. Gwynn’s debut single “Teardrop Tattoo” is Gold debuting herself to the music world in an upbeat and fun song that she says resonates to coming up in a jazz club in New Orleans, with funky keyboards and guitars.

Other tracks on the album show more of a country rock range, such as “Heading Home”s, lyrics and instrumentals give a Neil Young feel to the record, or the solemnity of the title track “Land of Honey” that is akin to Flying Burrito Brothers or the Byrds’ Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

The 12-track album doesn’t have a direct musical theme, but talks about relationships, boundaries, city-life, growth, and references tracks within others, all flowing together. Yet, Gwynn doesn’t like to reveal too much of the personal concepts on the album and for listeners to interpret their own take on its themes. Gold does reference spirituality and life experiences as parts of the record, exploring her subconscious while writing on real-life situations.

“I want listeners to have their own moment in it. It’s not really necessarily about me, it’s about the listener and I think the point of art and music is to allow the person to get something out of it, whether that be a fun night or something to reflect on,” says Gold. “It can be serious or not serious as you want it to be, but it should always be about the person you’re writing it for.”While Land of Honey’s live version from the album’s release party was just released, Gwynn is planning for the next record–teaming up with Jimmy Hoyson again and continuing to make her multifaceted classic rock homage that she makes her own.

JONPAUL WALLACE STOPS BY AND TALKS NEW SINGLE "LOVE'S NOT FOR EVERYONE" AND MORE CURRENT PROJECTS!

Despite the Title, JonPaul Wallace’s Single, “Love’s Not for Everyone,” Defines Contemporary Pop

DETROIT - After going viral with his rewrite of Lukas Graham’s “7 Years,” JonPaul Wallace has silenced any critics who muttered the phrase, “one-hit-wonder.”

While Wallace’s graduation performance of Graham’s hit accumulated more than 20 million views across streaming platforms, Wallace has taken the popularity in stride, focusing on the future.

“Honestly, it was completely unexpected,” said JonPaul Wallace. “I wanted to cover the song, but it says, 20 years, and I was only seventeen at the time. So, I changed up the lyrics to make it more suitable to me.”

With a discography of cover songs, each with his take on it, Wallace is now focusing on songwriting and performing. His latest single, “Love’s Not for Everyone,” displays the Michigan native’s abilities to blend pop and soulful rhythms.

In the slow and heavy melodic vocal tune, Wallace captures the feeling when a relationship ends. Instead of wallowing in the heartache, “Love’s Not for Everyone” is a declaration of acceptance and loneliness that comes after ending a relationship. The ballad which drops in December represents the softer side of Wallace’s contemporary pop style.

“I definitely pull a lot of inspiration from Motown and old soul music and put that in there, especially with a lot of my background vocals and vocal performances,” he explained. “There’s a lot of old soul influence in what I do. It’s something about growing up around Detroit. Soul is ingrained in me.”

Interestingly, Wallace did not write “Love’s Not for Everyone” in just one settling. After spending a few days in Northern Michigan on a solo writing trip, Wallace drove home when inspiration struck. “On my drive home, I was on I-75. I actually have a voice memo of me working on what became the bridge of ‘Love’s Not for Everyone,’” he said.

Even though the bridge was done, he put it aside to work on other songs with faster beats and more dance-like tracks. However, something was nagging at him to finish the piece. So, in typical Wallace style, he stepped away from the up-tempo songs and finished “Love’s Not for Everyone.”

“Lyrically, nothing changed. It was almost like a first try in the studio,” he said, knowing that the song was perfect for him and his fans.

With a finance and marketing degree from Oakland University, Wallace focuses full-time on being a singer, songwriter, and performer. “When I’m on stage, I’m always behind a guitar or piano. I just have a lot of fun on stage. I don’t try to be too heavy. I want to make music that takes you where you can forget about everything for a little while,” he said.

While “Love’s Not for Everyone” is a departure from Wallace’s typical upbeat pop songs, it showcases his versatility and strength as a singer and songwriter. Taking a few cues from the legendary Stevie Wonder and Billie Eilish, Wallace said, “My original music brings a different sound to the table. It’s focused on background vocals in a soulful way. But a lot of the production and melodies come from a modern and contemporary pop-dance style. It’s pretty different from what’s out there now. It’s what I do best.”

HIP HOP RECORDING ARTIST "SIX FIGURE LIN" TALKS NEW SINGLE 'N.U.M.B.' AND ADDITIONAL PROJECTS!

Packed with Emotions, Six Figure Lin Drops “N.U.M.B.” To Give Fans A Glimpse at His Artistry

Listen to the Podcast Below!

SIX FIGURE LIN (26:01)

Download the MP3

NEW YORK - While some musicians spend endless hours writing songs, it comes naturally to Six Figure Lin. He has been writing songs for years as an outlet for his feelings.

“My music is my diary. I’d still write music if I never recorded a song or showed it to anybody. It’s my way of releasing,” said Six Figure Lin. “When I’m going through stuff, I gotta make a song about it.”

Born and raised in New Jersey, Six Figure Lin jumped into the trap scene with his latest single, “N.U.M.B.,” a song-like flow of lyrics and everything in between. Showcasing his love of melodies and rapping abilities, Six Figure Lin said, “I like to be clever and simple at the same time, but I can say something slick without having to say too much.”

Six Figure Lin’s smooth delivery is on full display in “N.U.M.B.,” an acronym for Never Underestimate My Brilliance. Using wordplay, the single is his redemption song. While he is letting everyone know he is numb to all the haters and doubters, he is back on the scene. “I’m back, and I’m better. Never underestimate my brilliance, ‘cuz at this point I came home and blew past a lot of people in the short period of time,” he said.

With “N.U.M.B.” available on streaming platforms, the music video drops on Jan. 9. Filmed in New Jersey, the video signifies a part of Six Figure Lin’s life when he was younger and on the streets hustling. Set on a dead-end street, the music video symbolizes the barriers Six Figure Lin and his family had encountered and overcome, dating back to when his great-grandmother immigrated from Jamacia. But as the song says, “never underestimate my brilliance,” Six Figure Lin preserves.

Additionally, on Jan. 9, “Linsane,” an EP showcases the yin and yang of Six Figure Lin drops. Containing melodic tracks and hard trap songs, “It’s a blend of letting you into my mind. You can hear the good and bad, rough and soft. This gives you a taste of what’s inside the bottle. ‘Linsane’ is a well-rounded collection of what I can do.” he explained.

From the EP’s cover featuring a cartoon-like Six Figure Lin in an insane asylum with drugs dropping from the padded cell’s ceiling and a devil lurking around his shoulders, the mixtape is a contrast of good vs. evil. The smile on Six Figure Lin’s face shows he must fight his demons, but there is joy in the struggle.

Gearing up for a busy 2022, “Linsominia,” a follow-up to “Linsane,” drops on Feb. 14, which is a more somber side of Six Figure Lin and life’s issues that keep him up at night.

While his passion is music, there is more to Six Figure Lin. He is a successful entrepreneur, investor, and all-around businessman. “I’m a hustler. But when you listen to my music, you can learn something. I’m very honest and very straightforward. I’m just having fun, but when you listen to the shit that I’m saying, you’re like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s serious.”
