Unwanted Begins with Clips of Greatness to Come

PHILADELPHIA - Fifteen-year-old Unwanted is laying down some melodies and raps that have fans wanting more.

Born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love, Unwanted takes a unique approach to enter the music industry. Instead of dropping a few singles, he is posting short clips of his raps varying in style and themes on Instagram and YouTube, all in the hopes of attracting the attention of hip-hop rapper fans - and it is working.

“I got more to bring, and this is only a portion of what I can do,” said Unwanted. “There is more to come in the future. It’s somethin’ way bigger than what meets the eye. I’m different.”

While other rappers are lacing their lyrics with profanity, Unwanted said it is a choice to rap clean and make sure that he never disrespects people, especially women. Perhaps his grandmother, who he affectionately refers to as Mom-Mom, had that influence on him. She has raised him since his birth. Hence the name “Unwanted” is about his biological parents, but not Mom-Mom and his fans.

“When it comes to lyrical content from me, it’s like I’m always trying to get a point across, not only to the audience but myself as well,” he explained.

By using a rhythm perfectly sprinkled with a cadence of a never-ending vibe, Unwanted creates a poetic melody with each rap.

When asked what sets him apart from other young rappers, Unwanted said, “My lyrical content with my age, and the topics I’m talking about and the way I come across is me. When it comes to technical things like delivery and cadence, it’s just me. You know, it’s never fiction when it comes down to tracks.”

Currently, Unwanted has hit on various topics for his songs, including his father, growing up in Philadelphia, and the life experiences he’s endured. Taking his cues from rappers like Eminem, Unwanted is drawn to songs that tell stories. “I love artists like that because I look at not only when it comes to certain tracks that they’ve created but their life and its life stories. They also represent themselves and their music, so that’s what’s so dope about it,” he added.

However, when this teen reflects on his life and what he hopes to accomplish, Unwanted said, “I’ve wanted to be an artist for a long time. Honestly, as I kept doing it, I noticed that it made me happy, and now it’s like a piece of me. Someday, when I’m in a good position, maybe I can change a great amount of people and their perspectives on life.”

The perspective is about to change - and soon - with the release of his first single, “Rodeo.” After getting a solid footing in the music industry, Unwanted is ready to take the next step.

“Rodeo” will drop in a few weeks, showcasing Unwanted’s trademark cadence and metaphoric rhymes. With additional songs to follow, Unwanted is going to be a wanted man by his fans.

‘Only God’ Hits Home with Nikell Ariel, Showcasing Raw Honesty

NIKEL ARIAL (17:16)

ATLANTA – Never losing sight of who she is, Nikell Ariel gets honest with fans in her latest single, “Only God,” which focuses on being truthful with yourself and your circumstances.

The charismatic, soft-spoken singer and songwriter embraces her past by sharing her struggles and melodic undertones throughout the song. “I’m into just keeping it honest. I’ve been through a lot, so my music is displaying things that I’ve been through, things that I’ve learned throughout my life,” explained Nikell Ariel.

When Nikell Ariel was a young child, her parents died from HIV AIDS. Instead of letting that define her life, she persevered by turning to music. “I prefer my music to be positive because I have just been through so much, and it is good to shed light on different experiences. God has been a big influence in my life because of the things that I have been through,” she added.

Many times, hearing the word “God” and music indicates a “preachy” gospel song, but that is not the case with “Only God.” In fact, “Only God” is a confident rap anthem that garners attention on streaming platforms. The music video is the perfect accompaniment to the song as it shows how life’s ups and downs affect people, such as drug use, domestic violence, and poverty. Meanwhile, Nikell Ariel looks on, rapping that life is what it is, and you must take responsibility for your actions, and “Only God” can and should make judgments.

“I wrote ‘Only God’ in the summer during the pandemic,” she said. “It was a chance to look at myself and what I’ve been through, what I struggle with, faith in His learning, and that I just need to depend on God. I want to express my struggles and let you know that we all just struggle with different things. When we recognize that, we see that we are all human - nothing is really that different.”

While “Only God” is a rap song, it is a testament to Ariel’s confidence, in-your-face charismatic hooks, and melodic undertones that showcase her ability to harmonize and change her voice.

Describing her latest hit, Ariel said, “It’s original, and it’s authentic. It’s just me. I’m not ashamed of what I’ve been through. It has made me who I am today. If I can get it out there, it’ll help somebody, even if it’s just one person - I’m OK with that.”

While Ariel is not planning on slowing down, she is releasing her latest single and music video. “I love doing music. It doesn’t matter about the money. I have just to keep it going ‘cuz it’s something that I love,” she said.

When asked about the song’s title, she replied, “I’m the coolest person that loves God that you ever (will) meet. And you know what? At the same time, I’m not here to judge anybody ‘cuz I’m dealing with the same things you’re dealing with right now. I just rap about it.”

Roy Jones Jr Shares His Thoughts With Brad Cooney on His Recent Hall Of Fame Nod and Jake Paul's Knockout Win Over Tyron Woodley

I recently reached out to all time great and recent Boxing Hall of Fame class of 2022 inductee, Roy Jones JR, and got his thoughts on the recent Jake Paul knockout win over Tyron Woodley. Roy is currently in Dubai handling business but still took out a few minutes to return my call.

When I asked him for his thoughts on Jake Paul's knockout win, he replied, “Jake had a hell of a knockout last night. You can tell that he's been working hard.”

Paul with only 4 fights has 4 knockouts (now 5) and is getting paid money that most professional boxers of 20 years or more never see.  This doesn't go over too well for a lot of other pro fighters who have accrued 100's of amateur fights then climbed the pro ranks through their own hard work.

Is this the fault of Jake Paul? No, it's definitely not his fault.  Paul is taking big money from those who run the sport.  He's taking what he's being allowed to take. Is it fair? I don't think so, but it's not Paul's fault.

I'll be interested to see how Jake Paul handles things when and if he steps up into the lions den of the sport.  He's tough as nails, hits like a mule, and is a brilliant marketer.  That all said, how will he do once he fights a skilled and accomplished professional boxer?  Time will tell.

I also talked to Roy Jones about his upcoming induction into pro boxing's Hall of Fame.  This is something that would have happened a long time ago but Roy chose to stay an active fighters longer than many people thought he would.  Never the less, once Roy hung up the gloves it was obvious he'd be a first ballot inductee.  His accomplishments in the sport will go down as one of the greatest of all time.

When I asked Roy for his thoughts on getting the call from the Hall of Fame, he replied, “I'm honored. It's an honor to be inducted. Getting inducted into the Hall of Fame is every athletes hidden dream.”  He went on to say, “Getting into the Hall of Fame is a dream for every athlete from day one.”

Stay tuned for more from Roy Jones Jr.  He'll be on the Brad Cooney Podcast show when he returns from his overseas trip.  We'll talk more about his current NEW music, his boxing projects, and more thoughts on his Hall of Fame induction.

LAS VEGAS, NV – When you take the easy rock sounds of classics like Fleetwood Mac and the early years of The Pretenders, and mix those with influences ranging from David Bowie to PJ Harvey to Nirvana with a raw-voiced, rocking female vocalist, then you’ve got a good idea of what drives “Midnight Clover.”

Las Vegas, NV-based Midnight Clover has performed regularly in bars and larger venues up and down the West Coast and across the Southwestern United States for the better part of seven years.  When the coronavirus pandemic shut down social gatherings, the band decided to take advantage of the break and write new music.  The  result is their new album “FloW,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms.

The album features eight songs that explore a variety of styles and sounds in the Rock and Indie genres. These songs reflect different subject matter and musical textures that the group has created while touring and performing over recent years.

Featuring guitarist Johnie Stomp, drummer Jimmie Bohn, bassist Roman, and lead singer Clover Corby, the group offers funk/punk indie rock with a truly relevant vibe for the current landscape of today’s music industry. With seamless ease the band fuses delightful sensibilities of old-school grunge and New Wave with infectious guitar-driven melodies of alternative indie rock.

Clover says, “Every song on this album is a little bit different. I like more storytelling types of

songs, and I don’t feel like the album has just one overall theme, but instead shares many different stories. There are a couple of songs that are about being empowered to take back control of your life, and a few playful songs as well.”

The debut single from the project is “Danny,” which Clover refers to as “sexy, playful and honest.” It has a catchy chorus that will have you singing along.

“More than anything, we just want people to have fun and enjoy our music,” Clover said. “A lot of people who have seen us perform have said that we’re a fun and unique rock band – and that’s exactly what we want to bring.”

So…what does Clover do at midnight? “We’re embracing the mood of ethereal rock at midnight.”

MUSIC RECORDING ARTIST 'PRINCES ROCK' TALKS NEW SINGLE "DON'T SLEEP" AND MORE CURRENT NEWS!

15-year-old Princess Rock shows maturity beyond her years with hype new single ‘Don’t Sleep’

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST BELOW!

PRINCESS ROCK (16:38)

Download the MP3

PHILADELPHIA, PA – When it comes to balancing classic rap with contemporary musicality, not many artists today can do the job. But one on-the-rise rapper named Princess Rock has already done it.

At only 15-years-old, Princess Rock is etching her own place in rap royalty. Her first single “Doo Wop” demonstrated a flawless ability with natural flow, and has made her one of the young artists to watch on the East Coast. And now with her latest single, “Don’t Sleep,” she’s set to take her talents to the international stage in major ways. With vocals and songwriting prowess like few others in the game, this talented young musician is ready to take the world by storm.

“Don’t Sleep” is the third single from this fast-rising young artist. It’s an energetic, hype song that lets people know who she is and showcases just a small portion of the potential she has to be an international superstar. Audiences who hear the song will see almost immediately that how she carries herself is beyond her years. In a music industry laden with female sex symbols and scathing lyrics, Princess Rock offers a refreshing performance that’s equal parts entertaining and intriguing. With her it’s more in the things she doesn’t endorse and doesn’t say than in the things she does, and that’s intentional. She knows that a lot of times artists can turn people off by what they say. But she’s a young artist who is purposeful with her lyrics and intentional about her presence and reputation.

“Princess Rock fits me because as a young black woman I feel that I’m royalty, and the rock adds an edge to it,” she said. “I make hype music and the styles that I mix with that go perfectly together, but at the end of the day I want to be known for being positive and having good morals. I’m conscious of how I carry myself and my message. All of my music has a message of being confident in who you are. You can achieve anything you put your mind to. It’s going to take hard work, but if you want to do it, you can do it – no matter what you go through.”

That sentiment is the foundation for her latest single. In many ways she’s telling the world not to sleep on her as she’s about to show audiences all around the globe just how great of an artist she is. And as she does so, she encourages others to embrace that kind of confidence and put in the work to show others that they shouldn’t be slept on, either.

MUSIC RECORDING ARTIST 'GEO-MIKE122' STOPS BY AND TALKS ABOUT HIS NEW SINGLE "ABOVE" AND MUCH MORE!

Teacher by day, musician by night, GeoMike offers intriguing insight on catchy new single ‘Above’

NEW YORK, NY – Electronic-driven, low-key rock vibes set against a tightly-reined frenetic energy are capturing the attention of new audiences all over the world with the new single “Above.” Coming from East Coast artist GeoMike122, the song showcases this talented musicians syncopated rap style over the top of a rapid-fire high-hat and ethereal synths for a sound that truly caresses the senses. It’s a song that makes you itch with energy. Reminiscent of a vibe made famous by David Bowie, the song explores the after-effects of a toxic and abusive relationship and offers listeners a sense of hope that there’s something brighter at the end of something tragic.

“It was inspired by my own experience of overcoming a toxic, abusive relationship,” GeoMike said. “In the song I compare it to a fog because that’s how I felt – like I was in a mental state of fox. The partner I was with was more negative and cynical than anything else, and it took a lot of light and faith to get me through that. In the song I talk about how the fog was burned off by the sun, and in the end I rose above those experiences. I hope that my ex finds faith and searches the divine to find something not of this world – something ‘above.’”

The song is the first off an upcoming album called “Michael Ciolino,” which is set to release on Oct. 22. It’s a project that this up-and-coming artist has been working on for the past few years in his spare time when not teaching third grade to students in the New York area. He has always had a love of music, and over the years has dabbled with different sounds and styles. Along the way he’s created a style that is certainly unique – something that he refers to as “Sound Pop.” It’s a sound that features an impressive blend of instrumentation and lyrics in ways that are equal parts intriguing and entertaining.

“I’m trying to have my music match where I want to go in life,” Mike said. “It’s inspiring and motivating and has you question things. It’s challenging. As a teacher – and really, just as my personality – I’m always questioning things. I understand why boxes exist, but I like to think outside the box, and my music is all about advocating for you to find your own voice. I think it’s really important to have that. Music has always been inspiring to me in that way, and that’s what I want to create and provide for others. That’s why I say it’s Sound Pop – it’s genre-less. I’m a teacher who loves doing this because I love motivating people and entertaining people. We’re in a cycle where people want something that’s more original and authentic, and that’s what I hope to bring to the table.”

PRODUCER SCHYLER O'NEAL TALKS ABOUT HIS NEW SINGLE "IOU" AND LIFE BEHIND THE MIC!

Well known producer steps out from behind the scenes to drop impressive debut single ‘IOU’

Schyler O’Neal (33:51)

Download the MP3

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST BELOW!!

LONG BEACH, CA – Schyler O’Neal is a name you’re going to want to know about.

Having served behind the scenes as a producer for many years – most significantly as the developer of the primitive sound for fast-rising young artist Giveon (who was featured on Drake’s new album “Certified Lover Boy”) – O’Neal is now ready to bring his impressive talents to the forefront with his latest single “IOU”

Showcasing an impressive fusion of R&B and Pop vibes, “IOU” brings the kind of high-quality production value that will immediately make audiences sit up and pay attention. From the opening notes there’s no questions that O’Neal is an artist who means business and who has the kind of talent and experience to stand head-and-shoulders above the rest. He’s destined to rise above the crowded industry and stand out in ways that will have global audiences clamoring for more.

“What makes people unique is when they discover how to express who they are as a person,” O’Neal said. “Everyone has their own unique personality, and I started to discover how to reflect my personality through my music. The style of it and the musicality  shows it. I’m into the craft of songwriting and music production. I think my sound can be appreciated across multiple generations. There are things I draw from older music that inspires me, but there’s also a lot that inspires me from newer trends. Ultimately I think I’ve found something that’s true to me and doesn’t feel forced, and this song is a good combination of who I am and what I can do.”

O’Neal said “IOU” is about a relationship that ends when one person decides to leave without any warning. You don’t want them to leave, but after they do you later realize they did you a favor. The story of the song will be reinforced by a video that also showcases O’Neal’s dedication to high quality production. As the video follows O’Neal from the end of the relationship to the year afterward when his life gets better, fans will be immediately drawn into the imagery and impressed by the amazing visuals. And as the song comes to a climax, the video invites viewers into a mansion with a big party.

“It’s a fun track, but it’s also a song that shows my vulnerability as an artist,” O’Neal said. “The concept of what I’m talking about is current, and I’m still feeling the effects of that last relationship. I want people to sense that vulnerability. If I tell my story in its truest form, people who have similar stories can relate to it. But even with this heartbreak type of vibe, the song is upbeat, and I think people will be really grooving to this song. There’s a juxtaposition of joy and vulnerability. And more than anything it’s a way to let people see who I am as a person and find a way to genuinely connect with me.”

O’Neal said “I.O.U.” should drop in early October, and that he’s already in development with other singles that could land before the end of the year. To listen to his music, or to follow him on social media, please visit the following links:

MUSIC RECORDING ARTIST 'Luke ATME' STOPS BY AND TALKS ABOUT HIS NEW EP "DREAMS 4 U" AND MORE!

International star Luke ATME offers transcendent vibes with eclectic new EP ‘DREAMS 4 U’

Luke ATME (27:30)

LONDON, UK – Anyone who has ever seen or heard Luca Tozzi knows that he’s a man with a very eccentric personality. Appropriate, then, that he would adopt the stage name Luke ATME. And it’s under that stage name that he’s been drawing attention from all corners of the world with his standout and original music.

His latest offering to the world is a four-song EP called “DREAMS 4 U.” Set to release before the end of the year, the project is an exploration of astrological escapism as it uses a variety of sounds and styles to bring listeners into another dimension. Inspired by sounds and genres from multiple cultures, the project truly digs deep into the subconscious of audiences and plants dream-like visions that are equal parts entertaining and intriguing. Each of the four songs are different from one another – like different planets of the same galaxy. Luke ATME calls it a “fairytale into another world.”

“At the end of the day it’s transcendent,” he said. “it’s an escape from the reality you’re in.”

The project kicks off with the debut single “Starting From the Bottom,” which went wide across all streaming platforms on Oct. 10. In the song he explores the reality of today versus the experiences of his past, and offers up a close look at Naples as a metaphor of the misunderstood nature of his own life and purpose as a musician.

“Some people love that city, and some people don’t,” he said. “I’m trying to show people that it’s just a humble city, just as I am a humble man who is trying to give a lot of importance to the value of life. Ultimately this is a song that shows the dream of where I’m going to be, and what I can do as an artist. It’s hip-hop in that I rap and sing, but it’s also different than anything anyone has heard before.”

Luke ATME follows that up with “Dreamlife,” which utilizes multi-lingual lyrics of Spanish, English and French set against a Trap and Reggaeton fusion. The third song on the project is “Dame Attención,” which in English means “Give me your attention.” Unlike the other songs on the EP, “Dame Attención” is more of a mellow, chill vibe that features fun acoustic guitar riffs. It’s the perfect song to play on the beach or while hanging out with a group of friends. Luke ATME calls it a “love, escape song that more kind of sexy than any of the others.”

The last song on the EP is “The Greatest Escape,” which is a dance track ready made for the clubs, produced by Persian DJ AFSHINAM. It’s a song that perfectly finalizes the concept with some happy vibes, enhancing the fact that this EP is a trip toward a better and brighter future.

“We’re finally at a time when we can live our lives,” he said. “This shit is almost over. Lets do what we want and make sure we enjoy life, because life is short and we don’t know when it’s going to end.”
