I thought Hillary Clinton still had a chance to be selected as VP running mate for Obama, but I was wrong. Senator Joe Biden (D) Delaware, got the nod instead. Biden brings vast foreign affairs experience, and 36 years of experience in Washington. The draw back is this, Obama campaigned on a "change" message, and Biden is pretty much a Washington insider. The plus of course is the experience, and the age of Biden balances the ticket. I think it's a good pick for Obama, and perhaps with bringing Biden along for the ride it will sway some votes, and land Pennsylvania for Obama. Picking Biden also counters John McCain's attacks on Obama's lack of foreign affairs experience. Biden will aggressively attack McCain's posturing that portrays Obama as too inexperienced for the job.
