Joshua Clottey looked bigger, stronger, and simply muscled his way to the title. Judah was faster than Clottey, but as the rounds wore on it seemed as if Zab's reflexes got slower and slower. It looked to me like it was a 9th round uppercut thrown by Clottey that opened up a bad cut over Judah's eye, forcing the referee to bring in the ringside doctor. The doctor had Judah answer a few questions as to whether he could see or not, and Judah apparently answered incorrectly. The referee stopped the fight in the 9th round, and the fight went to the cards. Clottey at first thought that the fight was over right after the doctor advised the ref to stop it. He began his celebration, but then was informed that the fight had to go to the cards. In the end, it would be Clottey that would celebrate just the same as he was awarded the title via technical decision.
