MONTREAL - While some hip-hop artists sell out to jump on the latest mainstream trend, Avalanche the Architect remains committed to his battle-rap style. Avalanche fearlessly unleashes a raw vocal onslaught of complex metaphors and similes accompanied by clever wordplay and a raspy deep sharp vocal tone to hammer home his message - and fans love it.

Known for his hardcore lyrics, Avalanche is confident in his artistry. “A lot of musicians these days go on social media and carry out gimmicks and antics to gain a fanbase. Then they put out a song laden with auto-tune, and it sounds more like an R&B track than hip-hop.”

With an expanding discography, Avalanche the Architect does not fall to these gimmicks. He is an old-school rapper similar to the great rappers from the 1990s like Canibus, Vinnie Paz, Big Pun, Redman, and the energy of a Waka Flocka Flame. Avalanche’s music focuses on aggressive wordplay packed full of energy. “I focus on two things - the energy you feel and the similes and metaphors in my lyrics,” he said.

Representative of his hard bass, crispy kicks, and snapping snare drum style, “My Waistband Looks Like A Gun Shop” is Avalanche’s latest single. With a lengthy title, Avalanche says, the title explains the song’s message, and it is old-school 90s-type rap mixed with a modern-day swagger that accompanies all his tracks.

“My Waistband Looks Like A Gun Shop” is the perfect song to play at the gym to get pumped up for a workout or simply life. A great example of Avalanche’s supreme abilities is his wordplay in his line, “No flat basketball, I pump rock.” ‘Rock’ in the streets means crack and is also a term basketball player uses for the ball, while ‘pump’ in the streets means to sell when its literal definition is to inflate. Avalanche uses this wordplay to say he is not talking about a flat basketball when he says, “pumps rock,” meaning he sells crack.

Another example is “I’ve got shooters, no jump shot.” In these lyrics, he refers to a ‘shooter’ as a basketball shooting guard versus a ‘shooter’ who is a gunman in the streets. This “My Waistband Looks Like a Gun Shop” line infers Avalanche has ‘shooters,’ but he is not talking about the type that takes jump shots during a basketball game. These aggressive lyrics create a smart street message and a music video that features Avalanche grinding out raps.

According to Avalanche, rapping about life in general and the streets makes him unique. “My music is authentic. It isn’t always happy and bubble gum music. People are not talking about happy stuff ‘cuz that is not what people talk about,” he said. “The news is the most popular thing, and it sells crime and stories about it. My fans want to hear about the streets. They don’t want to live on the streets, but they want to hear about it.”

Always giving the fans what they want, Avalanche, a former MMA fighter, punches out lyrics like a champ. “The way you see my music is the way you’ll see me in real life. I think a lot about my lyrics before writing them,” he said. “If you want to hear authentic rap music that is not like everything else you heard, listen to me.”

LOS ANGELES - At just 16 years of age, singer/songwriter True Istina has taken the music industry by storm. Her unique blend of power-packed energetic music is fresh, hip, and contains a sexy modern twist to the pop, alternative, and dance genres. True Istina appeals to fans of all ages and walks of life, focusing on catchy melodies and lyrics rooted in independence and empowerment.

“The message behind each song is very important to me,” said True Istina. “I have two sides to my music. I have the side where I have more messages and meanings. And then I have the side filled with hope, faith, and my values.”

Honesty in her music is paramount. Even her name, True Istina, reflects her authenticity. Paying tribute to her grandparents who immigrated to the U.S. from Croatia, she selected Istina, which means truth in Croatian.

True Istina’s debut single, “For Fun,” is an upbeat, uplifting, ready to dance along with song. “When I wrote it, I wanted it to be what you think of when you think of a really fun day, but the story behind it is evolving,” she explained. “In the first verse, it talks about how you’re being pushed down, but you don’t want to be, and you’re finally starting to stand up for yourself. In the chorus, you’ve decided not to play any more games. The second verse is that nobody will stop you when you take control of your life. The bridge is when you know who you are, what you’re doing, and what you want. You are not going to let anyone dictate it to you.”

With well-thought-out lyrics coupled with a soulful optimism, True Istina uses her voice to create a melody with a fresh, modern feel that will continue to strengthen as she progresses. From “For Fun’s,” folky beginnings with handclaps and tight lyrics flow, showcasing her versatility with the energy of a seasoned musician.

In addition to writing “For Fun,” True Istina co-produced the single and sang harmony on the track. Joining her in the studio was her 13-year-old brother and mother, who contributed by singing backup vocals.

Inspired by Carrie Underwood and Pentatonix, True Istina’s powerful voice is her greatest asset. Coupled with her songwriting abilities, True Istina’s future is bright. In January, the “For Fun” music video will drop. Follow-up singles such as “Nu Life,” “Walkin the Line,” and “Fantasy” will drop on streaming platforms leading up to the release of her self-titled album, “True Istina,” on March 3.

INTERNATIONAL ARTIST 'ARYA ARA' TALKS NEW SINGLE "Y" AND NEW EP "WAKE ME UP / ANOTHER DAY" AND MORE!

International artist ARyA ARA incites curiosity with genre-bending EP

NEW YORK, NY – Mystery and intrigue take center stage on the latest hit single from international artist ARyA ARA. Titled simply “Y,” the new track from this eclectic artist is a spacey, electronic, world music kind of groove with a melancholy darkness that pairs with an upbeat vibe ready-made for the clubs. Equally accessible to music lovers in the New York area and throughout Europe, the song is all about “inciting curiosity.” And as such, it falls right in line with the other music she’s released in recent months – most especially her two-song EP “Wake Me Up / Another Day.”

Inspired by her two favorite artists, Avicii and ALPHA 9 (also known as ARTY), the project is one that taps into the spiritual connection she feels from their music while also offering an emotional and spiritual release for anyone who listens to her songs. In fact, she honored ARTY by releasing “Y” on his birthday, and did the same for Avicii by releasing her new EP on his birthday.

“As long as you’re listening to music, you’ll never be alone,” ARyA said. “That’s the message to the world that I want to send. And that’s what Avi and ARTY have done for me. They’re the two artists who influenced me the most. Avi is my guardian angel in the unseen world, and ARTY is the unseen angel in the living world. I release this EP for Avi’s birthday, and for all the people who really miss him. His story is not over. He’s in the spirit world right now, and I made this as a way to cope with the loss of being connected with him in the spirit world and not having him in real life.”

ARyA said the first song on the EP, “Wake Me Up,” is directly connected to the legacy that Avicii left to the world of music and his millions of fans around the globe. She said it’s a song that reflects her take on life and the exploration of how thin the veil is between the physical world and the spiritual world that comes after death. It’s a song that she said is for anyone who has lost anyone.

“We all go through that in life – loving someone on the other side is a pain that never really goes away,” she said. “You can go through the grieving and healing process, but you can’t ever really turn off that pain. You have to learn to live with it. The opening line of the song is ‘When I leave this world, will you remember me?’ For me, I was very close to Avi. He was my first spirit guide. He helped me learn how to navigate the spiritual realm. I connect with the universe through hearing, and Avi helped me focus my energy on where I want to go and who I want to communicate with. He brought me closer to the spirit source and helped me go where the light is. This song is a tribute to that.”

ARyA said the second song, “Another Day,” takes the idea of “Wake Me Up” and invites listeners to go a little farther on that journey of self-reflection and spiritual awakening. Ultimately serving as a song about persistence and mental fortitude, the song offers the perspective of finding the positive even in the midst of the negative. Pairing melodic, upbeat and bright tones with a more melancholy pace allows ARyA to create a somber song with a hopeful vibe that perfectly captures that idea of “inciting curiosity.”

“U ARA the reason Y,” she said. “I’m saying that to ARTY, but also to every person who takes the time to listen. I want people to know that. If you listen to my music you’re not just becoming a fan, you’re becoming part of my family. I want to listen to you and everything I do is for you. And I want you to know that you’ll never be alone when you ARA part of my family.”

In addition to the EP and “Y,” ARyA has also released the single “For You” exclusively on Soundcloud. To listen to her music, or to follow her on social media, please visit the following links:

MUSIC RECORDING ARTIST "JADE LATRICE" TALKS NEW SINGLE 'MAKE IT HOME' AND MORE UPCOMING NEWS!

Jade Latrice Blends R&B with Soulful Melodies in Latest Single ‘Make It Home’

JADE LATRICE (18:13)

CHICAGO - Many artists work for years to develop a soulful voice to resonate with listeners. Jade Latrice is the exception. She was born with a strong expressive voice and a bluesy rumble that grabs your soul and takes you on a musical journey.

At 17 years old, singer/songwriter Jade Latrice is making her name known in the R&B industry as a rising artist whose voice is mature beyond her years. “My voice is unique. It’s like I have one voice when I am talking but a different pitch and tone when I sing,” explained Jade Latrice.

She has a shy and soft-spoken demeanor, but when the microphone turns on and the music starts, a lyrical artist begins to perform with depth, emotion, and profound confidence. “There are many things that inspire me but singing is really a way for me to express myself. It’s an outlet that helps me learn and grow,” she added.

With a seasoned voice mature beyond her years, Jade Latrice connects with young listeners performing cover songs and, most recently, two original singles. After her debut single, “I Like It,” introduced her to the industry, her sophomore single, “Make It Home,” has given her staying power among other young artists as fans relate to her. Singing about growing up with divorced parents, dealing with every day high school stress, and trying to find a place in this world, Jade Latrice reaches fans while giving them hope for the future.

Working with Grammy Award nominee producer TryBishop and Christopher Starr of CSP Music Group, “Make It Home” dropped on all streaming platforms on Nov. 26th. “The song is basically about the uncertainties of love,” she explained. “Going back and forth with myself trying to figure out if you’re the one. But because I’m so quiet, I’m not going to tell him I like him or the thoughts that I’m having. The song represents the ups and downs of love after experiencing heartbreak.”

Jade Latrice and her team are currently finishing the music video for “Make It Home,” which will be released before 2022.

Citing influences such as H.E.R., Summer Walker, Lauryn Hill, and Beyonce, Jade Latrice uses music to deal with her anxiety and events from past traumas. While some people resort to therapy, Jade Latrice picked up a pen and paper and began writing. It is these heartfelt and emotional lyrics that form her songs and connect to her fans.

“Sometimes, you’re not OK. And people need to know that it’s OK to not be OK,” she said. “You need to find what works for you to navigate through this thing called life.” Using her survival and perseverance as motivation, Latrice added, “Every day is a process. You never know what will happen, but basically, just keep pushing through whatever it might be, and it gets better over time.”

With Jade Latrice’s attitude, it’s no wonder she continues to find more success with each single.

HOUSTON, TX - Adonis Kashe’ grew up following the music, whether it was singing with his church choir, school theater, or creating a genre all his own. He has been developing his sound for most of his life. It is because of all of this preparation that Kashe’ has been able to pilot a genre suited perfectly to himself. Spunxk-N-Roll is a sound that is simply like no other, featured in his latest release, “Go Head Try It”.

Kashe’ is an artist that likes to go with the flow. Having experience in genres ranging from Jazz to R&B, Hip Hop and more, the versatility in his music is unmatched. This paired with his exploration of Spunxk-N-Roll has led to some must hear tracks.

Describing his new style as a “Brand new 808 drag that’ll make a new born baby boy nutz’ sag”, you know that Kashe’ has exciting music coming your way. “Go Head Try It” is only the latest of these tracks.

The new single has already accumulated more than half a million streams on Spotify. It has also been noted in several publications and is only gaining attention as time goes on.

“Go Head Try It” is a track about remembering who you are and holding tight to that. More specifically, Kashe’ described it, saying, “I’m just living life, but there’s a female out there that feels like she can just take my heart and control me… So I’m just letting her know. I got four bad ones just like her.” The song is honest and filled with energy.

Since Spunxk-N-Roll is such a new style, Kashe’ is working on building its following piece by piece. “It’s a new sound, Spunxk-N-Roll, so we gotta spoon feed ‘em. Can’t just throw a whole project at ‘em,” he said. His next plan is to release another new single following “Go Head Try It”, building up to a future project. In the meantime, Kashe’ is planning to release the video for “Go Head Try It” on December 12, 2021.

“Spunxk-N-Roll is bigger than me,” said Kashe’.”I just want to make sure that I expand and touch the globe. This is going to be international.”

HIP HOP RECORDING ARTIST "MIC NICKELS" TALKS NEW SINGLE 'RAPPERS DON'T SMILE' AND MORE!

Music industry vet pokes fun at the ‘scowling rapper’ with upbeat new track ‘Rappers Don’t Smile’

NEW YORK, NY – With more than two decades in the music industry, Mic Nickels has become an inspiration for underground indie artists. His latest hit single is a nod to that pedigree and an homage to the rap lifestyle. “Rappers Don’t Smile” is an upbeat, fun track that examines the phenomenon of the scowling rapper. Debuting as the first single from his forthcoming “Bars For Days” album, the song features a bright piano melody laid against an energetic and playful beat. It’s a fun track that pokes fun at the “scowl” for which many rappers around the world have become known. And the video – directed by Luis “Fuego” Moya – utilizes cameos from many underground rappers showing off their meanest “ice grills,” including Blacastan, Masai Bey, BMS, L.I.F.E.LONG, Mr. Cord, J SWISS, Whichcraft, Discrete, Brimstone, Emaculit, Quest the Unborn Child, Saint Joseph, Dik Dastardly, Keith Elite, Rude 100, Odyssey Fluxx, and Ekym 1536. Produced by the notorious Colombeyond, the song is easily one of the most fun and upbeat hip-hop tracks fans will ever hear.

“For me, hip-hop was meant to be fun,” Nickels said. “It’s a break from the struggle. Somehow over the years it became the struggle, but I wanted to bring back that feeling of fun. I’ve gone to a lot of open mics, and everyone is always so hard and angry. I wanted to examine the phenomenon of the scowling rapper and break that down. The irony is that when I was writing the song I was taking a creative writing class and the teacher wanted me to talk about smiling. In my head I was like, ‘Man, rappers don’t smile!’ And I realized it was pretty hilarious and perfect. And then the beat Colombeyond sent me was called “Smile” – which he paired with this old, obscure sample from South America from the 70s that was light and fun – and it just came together for me all in one sitting. That happens sometimes for me. Those are the magic moments – when you’re inspired and you can just do the whole track at once. I’m really proud of the song. It fits in the boom-bap vein, which kind of encapsulates who I am. And if you just randomly met me one day you might catch me smiling because I’m generally a positive dude.”

Nickels said he plans to drop a couple of singles from “Bars For Days” before releasing the full album on Dec. 10. “Rappers Don’t Smile” will be released across all streaming platforms on Nov. 5, followed by “Sky City” on Dec. 3.
