ATLANTA, GA – “Punjabi Reject Vol. 1” is out now in wide release, and the debut single from the project, “Spotlight,” has been gaining attention in just two weeks of release across all streaming platforms, spreading like wildfire across the U.S. and in other parts of the world. The Trap/Soul fusion features a signature flow with auto tune and high reverb effects that Taj has perfected. With a beat that’s equal parts bouncy and melodic, listeners will want to put this song on repeat and play it wherever they’re at.

“What happens to most guys once they get signed and actually get released?” he asked. “They get tons of attention and end up leveling up and hooking up with a baddie actress or singer. I wanted to capture that feeling, and that feeling literally bleeds through the video to the audience. It shows me and my beautiful woman enjoying the spotlight. We’re like this power couple just kind of telling the world, ‘I made it! I’m the king. Because I’m the king, now meet my queen.’ She’s stunning, powerful, and sultry. She’s mine, and we deserve the spotlight. That is the entire theme and wave of the song.”

Raised in the Punjabi tradition of an Indian family, he struggled with the overly strict environment established by his father. Although he was involved in both music and sports at a young age, Taj began to turn to the streets to seek the attention that wasn’t being given between the relationships in his home. At age 14, he began to rebel and got into trouble when he was arrested for possession of drugs and was taken to juvenile custody, expelled and kicked off the basketball team. At the age of 15 Taj dropped out of school and left his home. His continued rebellion which, among other things, included a passion for Hip Hop music, had come to a head in his parents’ house.

“I didn’t feel like I belonged,” he said. “I wasn’t one of them. I would have rather been out on the streets homeless than be in a home with nonstop abuse and scrutiny.” Within the Punjabi tradition, Hip Hop and “Black” culture was highly frowned upon, and it’s  exceedingly rare for someone of that heritage to pursue a career in that style of music.

“There are countless times where I’ve come close to record label auditions or opening for bigger acts,” he said. “I was always kept down by f---ed up people. All of my setbacks constantly had me in and out of depression and addiction. There were people who took chances away from me and wanted to control me. I just wasn’t always wise over the years. I think combination of all those things plus the personal hell I’ve been though is why I’m so locked in now. I have a chip on my shoulder and I am not going to stop till I make my mark. I’m a Trap artist, period. I love trap music. You can hear that in the music. But, I’m like a great basketball player in that there’s no telling what my style is for sure. I might cross you up just to show you who’s the boss. Expect the unexpected. I want my music to be an escape for everybody from all walks of life. Whether you’re White, Black, Indian, whatever, I want to break those barriers down. People go through real shit and I know how it is. When you’re happy, sad, alone, confused or motivated, you will find relatability in harmony and lyrics in my art and I want to give people that outlet to escape their realities through my music.”

ATLANTA, GA – 40 Abioye is the true definition of an Indie success story. Fiercely independent and articulate, this Atlanta-based artist has found a way to please both the hardcore Hip Hop fans and a much wider audience through soulful hooks, picture-painted verses and savvy collaborations with some big names in the industry. That pedigree is put on full display with his new album “Fortune Cookies,” which will be available across all streaming platforms later this year.

Everybody loves getting the little bits of wisdom found in the center of a fortune cookie, and that’s the sentiment 40 Abioye is bringing with his new album. With every single song on the project, 40 offers messages to the world that are a variety of good vibes, inspiration and challenges to look at the world with a different perspective.

“When you get a fortune cookie, you never know what kind of message you’re gonna get,” 40 said. “That’s the same idea with this album – you never know what you’re gonna get until you push the button and see what the next song is about. I’m giving you a variety of different feels and I’m showing my growth as an artist. I start off the album by giving an introduction to myself and my perseverance over the years of doing this as an independent artist – the trials and tribulations of that journey. Then I have songs that talk about being the CEO of my own record label – Stoners Avenue Entertainment. I do some songs for the stoner community and talk

about the cannabis movement that’s happening right now. Then I go to the females and talk about relationships. There are some songs about politics and the current state of what’s going on in the world. So really every song is a message.” The debut single from the project carries the same name as the album, “Fortune Cookies” and is now available across all streaming platforms. Fortune Cookies features well known Atlanta artist Derez De'shon. 40 Abioye is originally from Flint, Michigan and teamed up with well known Atlanta Artist Derez De'shon to gain a new audience in 40 Abioye's new home of Atlanta GA. It’s a subtle nod to the overall message of the song, he said, which is about the perseverance he had to go through to get to where he is today as a fast-rising artist in Atlanta.

“I just want my legacy to be timeless songs,” he said of his music. “I want to be known as an artist who fought hard from the bottom and built his way up independently. My music is good enough to get me where I want to go without taking any shortcuts. I want people to see that you don’t have to have all the connections and a big following if you’re talented enough and believe in yourself. You can achieve success if you work hard and believe in yourself. You can’t go wrong when you give people your true self.” In addition to “Fortune Cookies,” 40 said he’s planning on releasing a second album called “Growth, Pain and Struggle” later this year or in early 2021.

NASHVILLE, TN – Sounds of South Dakota take center stage with the new single from Alt Rock artist Tim Wolf. “Born in South Dakota” is yet another standout jam from Wolf who has been building a career as a musician for the past five years after leaving his successful businesses behind and moving to Nashville to pursue his dreams. With singles like “Castle Built of Cards,” “Shot Down,” “I Need You Back Into My Life,” “Let Me Down Slow” and “Million Lonely Hearts,” Wolf has been steadily dropping a stream of successful songs that have drawn rave reviews from industry insiders and fans alike.

Now with “Born in South Dakota,” Wolf takes listeners on a journey back to his home state and the rich history that makes both his own life and that of the people of that area so intriguing. Co-written with fellow artist Jimmy Davis, the song uses the infamous Wild Bill Hickok and his

untimely death in Deadwood, South Dakota as the foundation for a song that celebrates the state while giving listeners an upbeat and fun vibe.

“When we got together to write, I started asking what South Dakota is famous for,” Wolf said. “Most people would say Mt. Rushmore and Deadwood are the two claims to fame, the latter being where Wild Bill Hickok was shot. Most people know he was playing poker and had AA-88, which is not known as the Dead Man’s Hand because of him. A lot of people also know that Calamity Jane was in love with him and that they’re buried side-by-side in Deadwood Cemetery. That’s a very interesting story that we tried to incorporate into the song while expanding on it. Almost all of my songs are about one or two topics – relationships and motivational things. And when you write, you just have to be emotionally honest and put in the hard work. I think this song shows all of that.”

Wolf hasn’t always been dedicated to music. In fact, he spent most of his life as a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He’s worked in some of the world’s biggest cities – from Manhattan to Tokyo – and was at one point CEO of a multimillion-dollar company. His family also owned a lot of farmland in South Dakota, and he was dedicated to continuing his family’s legacy. But one day, a friend walked into his office and got in his face about making music.

“It was so uncharacteristic of him to get in my face, but he was on a mission when he came in that day,” Wolf said of his friend. “We were never aggressive or that assertive in our interactions, and we never had that kind of a conversation about music or making different decisions. But he just walked in and said, ‘What are you doing?’ I struggled with my destiny for years, but when my friend came in, it felt like he had a mission from God. He pushed me to pursue music because he knew I was good at it and it was the thing I cared about the most. I decided to make a change. And even though there’s a mantra in the farming business that you should never sell land, that’s exactly what I did. And I took that money and moved to Nashville and started investing in my music.”

That was in 2015 and since then, Wolf has been building a fanbase that continues to grow all over the world. With “Born in South Dakota,” that fanbase is set to take another big jump forward. The song is scheduled to drop on Sept. 4 and will be available across all streaming platforms.

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, FL – A decade’s worth of concepts and energy come to a head on the hot new album from Florida Hip Hop Artist/ Producer K!D Cable. “Faith Over Fear” is a heartfelt powerhouse of Hip Hop that chronicles the up-and-down years of this former drug addict whose road to recovery is equal parts inspiring and motivational. With songs like “Moves” and “Glass,” K!D Cable shows a diversity of sounds and styles while displaying an adept ability to spit flows in ways that are reminiscent of legends like Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The journey toward “Faith Over Fear” started at age 16 while K!D Cable was in high school. He’d always loved music, but it wasn’t until an after-school program called TeenFest that he truly found a passion for the craft. He took second place in the music competition from that organization and that sparked his interest in making beats and songwriting. But drugs and other vices soon found their way into his life and music took a back seat. There were some dark times for this young man during his early 20s but over the past couple of years, he’s been making major strides toward turning his life around.

“This album is the culmination of a decade’s worth of concepts and energy and having the faith that everything is going to be OK after all this time,” K!D Cable said. “Music is always in the works. It’s my passion. It’s what I wake up for. At all times there’s new music coming, and fans can expect new music pretty much any time. This is my first real project that I worked hard on and worked over a year on.”

K!D Cable said he was always inspired by some of the legends of the industry – artists like James Blake, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, MF Doom, Earl Sweatshirt and Kendrick Lamar. That influence shows perhaps the most on his debut single, “Moves.” With a bouncy, upbeat rhythm and falsetto background vocals, this song is a powerhouse of emotion from this raw and real rapper.

The upbeat vibe is a counterpoint to the aggressive lyrics that are immediately reminiscent of Kanye West. Recorded during a time when music was just starting to become his main passion again, this single is the kind of song that fans worldwide will be using as motivation for many years to come. “I had just gotten off drugs and was feeling a lot better when I wrote this song,” K!D Cable said. “I was starting to feel music again, and this was basically the first song I recorded after almost

10 months away. You can feel that energy in the song. My signature sound is based off who I’m influenced by, and you’ll hear some of that in the project. I want to give people the same feeling that those artists gave me – a feeling that their music is bigger than life. It’s almost like Christmas when they release something new like they’re giving you a part of themselves, and you appreciate it. That’s what I want to give people with this album.”

PORTLAND, OR – A new pop star is on the rise on the West Coast with a throwback vibe that pairs soaring vocals with a signature sound that’s reminiscent of Ariana Grande. Mo Bentley is an up-and-coming actress, singer and songwriter from the Portland, Oregon area who has been building a name for herself over the past few years with hot singles like “Somebody Like Me” and “Lights On.” And her latest single, “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” is the kind of universal feel-good sound that will surely propel her to global notoriety.

Produced by Jaylien Wesley and co-written by Mo and Jaylien this summer in North Hollywood, “Don’t Kill My Vibe” starts with a slow, chill intro that creates a laid-back vibe, perfectly priming listeners for the moment when Mo’s beautiful voice powers in. This pop/soul fusion takes a throwback 90s feel and adds a modern-day twist for a bouncy and wavy sway that will have fans all over the world bopping their heads. The video for “Don’t Kill My Vibe” – produced by Star Kidz Productions and Michelle Bennett, and directed by Reel Mike Jones – is scheduled to release in September.

“Originally, we were going to write a song about a boy, but I felt like several pop songs today are about relationships, so I wanted to do something different,” Mo said. “I wanted to change up my style. I deal with haters often on social media and people judging me. The more I thought about it, writing a song about overcoming this would help me express my feelings. I basically read through all the mean comments on Instagram and we connected it together and put it into art. I think people will see that I’m an artist who is unique, different and who wants to go after an original life. I’m putting myself out there, working hard and not caring what people think. A lot of people struggle with that, however, I’m focusing on being myself right now. Writing lyrics and making music has really helped me to express myself and define who I really am.

Mo is at the beginning of her senior year of high school and has plans to move to Los Angeles next year with hopes to study at the Los Angeles College of Music. Being raised in an athletic family, Mo has also participated in competitive cheer and played both basketball and soccer. Mo often gravitated to being a performer. She learned it was through acting and singing that she’s able to find her true strengths, which allow her to be herself, she said. She started auditioning for commercials and television shows in Oregon and along the West Coast and said she’s hopeful for more opportunities like that to pop up when she moves to LA. She credits Patrick Day at Young Actors Space in Sherman Oaks for his teaching and help toward pursuing this dream. She’s working hard at developing her career as a pop artist and looking forward to growing her fan base with new songs like “Don’t Kill My Vibe.”

Mo was quick to thank special people in her life. She said she knows she wouldn’t be where she is today if it wasn’t for her teachers, vocal coaches, producers, co-writers, friends and family. She said it’s important to her that she shares how much she appreciates the people who have allowed her to be herself and who have personally invested in her – giving her advice, helping her build her network, lending a hand through mistakes and always having her back, no matter what.

“I hope my music is known for making people feel something,” Mo said. “I’m finding myself by being myself. It’s my goal that my listeners are able to connect with my lyrics personally and that my passion, also drives them to discover their passions. When friends are just hanging out listening to music, I want my music to give them the feeling that they can turn it all the way up, jam out and feel alive. When I’m listening to artists like Ariana, I feel something I never felt before – the beat, the energy and the fun. I want people to feel that way with my music, too. As I get older and gain more confidence, I want to continue to write and create more influential music. I feel I can really bring a special vibe.”

LOS ANGELES, CA – Kansas City native Mia Brooks – better known as Mia Kodak – is a specialty pharmaceutical sales rep by day and an artist by night. But her days of flying under the radar are soon to be over thanks to the release of her new single “Take His Money.”

The single takes inspiration from Tupac’s “Hit ‘em Up” and showcases Mia’s hardcore and edgy persona alongside her naturally gifted voice and one-of-a-kind delivery.

“I come across very aggressive on the beat,” Mia said. “I attack the beat and I think that makes me stand out a lot. I write everything myself and I’m able to sing my own hooks and melodies but ultimately, my sound is varied. I can go from aggressive and deep to a very soft sound. With ‘Take His Money’ I’m showing off my rap skills and doing some shit talking from a female standpoint.”

As a young teen, Mia was a professional model who always carried around a Kodak brand camera. She was always taking pictures, which is where she got the nickname. It’s a name that has stuck and like the snapshots she’s captured over time, her fans are beginning to get a picture of what this rising talent has to offer the world of music.

After graduating from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Media and Photography, Mia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being a professional in the entertainment industry. At the time she didn’t know exactly what that would look like. On a whim, she started writing her thoughts and feelings into songs and realized she had a natural knack for writing music. She released her first single in July 2018 to rave reviews and followed that up with an EP in August 2018. “Mistakes and Heartbreaks” gave her audience a glimpse of what she was capable of in the world of Hip Hop and since that EP release, she has dropped numerous other singles including “Faded,” “Dear Mama” and “Let’s Get a Bag.” She was also booked for All Access ATL in September 2019 where she performed in front of industry professionals.

“It was nothing but positive feedback from them,” she said. “They couldn’t believe it was my first show and many of them said, ‘You’re already a star.’” Mia grew up listening to and loving all genres of music and it shows in her signature style today. Influences in her sound include Hip Hop, Country, Pop, Soft Rock, Jazz, Blues and more. And she credits legends such as Trina, Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, Brandy and Ashanti for inspiring her at a young age to chase after her dreams and dive deep into her passion for making good music. “At the end of the day, I want my music to be known for just being real,” she said. “So many people feel pain and emotions the same way I do. I feel like if I can get more people to react the way my core fanbase is reacting – people have cried through my songs – then I’ll be able to connect with more people and help them through every kind of emotion. That’s why I write about things like relationships and love and heartbreak and pain and hurt and happiness.

Fusion of Miami and Houston sounds come together on new album from Hip Hop star Quey

HOUSTON, TX – Miami-based high-energy vibes combine with a down South feel for a truly original sound from up-and-coming artist Quey. Hailing from Houston, this seasoned rapper is releasing his third album “MIA 2 H-Town” on Sept. 11. The project’s 10 songs will not only feature Quey’s signature sound but also examine the various cultures and lifestyles of people living in both Miami and Houston.

“I’m from Miami and now I’m starting a life in Houston, so in a lot of ways, it’s an album that’s very personal,” Quey said. “I did that on purpose because I wanted people to get to know something about me. But I also wanted to bring that Miami-type music with high energy, which is the style of music I’m known for. I like to bring the complete package with a powerful delivery. I like to use a lot of metaphors and lyricism. Hip Hop is storytelling and being able to say things without actually saying things, which means you have to do it in a clever way. I do that with a unique delivery. Nobody delivers a sound the way I do. The way I read beats and flow on them is like nothing else out there right now.”

The debut single from the project, “Good Day (GVO)” is a perfect example of Quey’s signature style. The term Good Vibes Only was invented in Miami and indicates an atmosphere that’s described by its name. Quey uses a sample from Ice Cube’s hit song “Good Day” for his own version of the single. Pairing with Miami producer Rippa on the Beat, Quey tells a simple tale of a good day in Miami, all with an upbeat energy that is perfect for partying and turning up on South Beach.

“I’m basically doing the same thing Ice Cube did but with a modern-day twist,” Quey said. “He’s one of the artists I grew up listening to with my dad. He used to blast a lot of 80s and 90s Rap music in the car when I was a kid, so I listened to a lot of those rappers and I’m hoping to go down as one of those legends one day.”

Quey is releasing the album under his new record label, Hit Squad Records. In addition to himself, there are three other artists on the label – two from Miami and one female Hip Hop artist from Texas. Quey said he’s planning on following the album with a smaller EP toward the end of December, and might even do an EP on top of that this fall.
