Lebanese music producers drop and make an 'IMPACT' in the music scene on world stage with new album ‘IMPACT'

BEIRUT, LEBANON – A new duo from the Middle East is bringing an intriguingly dark new sound to the world stage of music with an exploration of multiple genres fused into one. Dark Note – made up of friends Saiid Zeidan and Anthony Nemnoum from Beirut, Lebanon – represents cutting edge music with sounds that range from EDM, Trap/ Future Bass, Techno, Hip Hop, Pop or even Rock. Dark Note - named after their discovery of finding light in the dark - takes inspiration from ideas that seemingly pop up out of nowhere during times of introspection.

“When you’re in the dark and hear a cool voice in your head and you start thinking about how you could make that into a song, that’s what Dark Note represents,” Zeidan said. “There is no one who can make the same music we are making. We can do EDM,Trap/ Future Bass, Techno, Hip Hop, Pop or even Rock … all genres you might think of.  And when we bring that to a crowd, the crowd will go crazy and dance like never before. We will be known for our massive raves.  We won’t stop until we’ve reached the biggest stages of TomorrowLand, UMF, EDC, Ibiza and many more.”

Their journeys in music started separately. Zeidan started DJ-ing when he was 16 and was discovering his path in music production, while Nemnoum started exploring production and instruments at age 15. They eventually came together while studying mixing and mastering at a music academy in Beirut. They clicked almost immediately and discovered that the sounds and styles they were independently interested in sounded even better when brought together. The fusion of their two styles grew into a one-of-a-kind sound unlike anything in Lebanon … or anywhere else in the world!

After six months of hard work in the studio and sampling new music to live crowds during DJ sessions, Dark Note is ready to release their sound to the world through their new album “IMPACT.” According to Nemnoum, it’s a project that shows you a sneak peak of their skill through a diverse range of sounds – with one Pop song, a lot of Trap, and some heavy EDM along the way.

“It’s our first album and with it, we want to make a big impact,” Nemnoum said. “We have four tracks right off the bat that we think might make a hit.”

Those four tracks include “Demise” – an EDM/Trap fusion about breaking into someone’s dreams; “IMPACT” – another Trap song that is tailor-made for making a big impact on the club scene, like a “meteoroid striking land” ; “Star Crossed Lovers” – a slower-paced love song that touches on religion and traditions underneath a catchy hook that listeners will have a hard time shaking out of their heads; and “Trust In Me” – a commercial-ready  Radio/DJ friendly Pop song hit that will make you  dance and shake that ass.

The album is out now and distributed under EDM REKORDS LTD. They aim to provide the best music experience possible, shaking the ground by using their marvelous 808 drums and original sound designs. They currently have three other artists on the label and are excited for what the future might hold for them on the international stage.

Q&A PODCAST! ALLOCAI TALKS 'CLOUD9' AND 'BE MY MAIN' AND MORE!

Allocai uses deep pain to fuel new music in single ‘Cloud9

                   LISTEN TO THE PODCAST BELOW!

ALLOCAI (15:33)

LOS ANGELES, CA – Allocai is a 21-year-old LA-based pop recording artist whose unique sound and style brings a breath of fresh air to the music industry. He’s not a one-trick pony when it comes to art but rather a well-rounded artist who pushes boundaries of stereotypical genres. A broad vocal range and versatile dance routines enables him to fully captivate an audience in his live performances, inevitably leaving them to reminisce their experience for years.

Born in Jamaica, this young performer grew up experimenting with his curiosity for music and used it as a form of self expression to gain freedom from an adverse life that was constantly being molded by his draconian father. Perhaps the lowest point in his life came about five years ago when his father got romantically involved with his girlfriend, kicked him out of the house, wrote him off from their family company, got his girlfriend pregnant and later on got married to her!

“A few months passed after that when I barely hung on to my sanity,” he said. “My depression got worse and worse, especially with the added pressure of being a medical student. It almost drove me to suicide. At my lowest point, my grandmother, whom I was living with at the time, encouraged me to go back to my roots and find a way to express my emotions that I’d been keeping to myself. Her words led me to rediscover my voice and talent, and to find a deeper purpose for it all. I used music as a form of emotional therapy and to express feelings that I couldn’t get out even in conversations with a therapist.”

After months of training and developing his craft, Allocai decided to drop out of medical school and venture to LA to pursue a career in the arts. He found a freedom of expression that he never knew before, and soon tapped into a side of his sexuality that he had kept hidden for many years. He started openly having romantic relationships with men until it eventually led him to find love in the eyes of another man. That combination of newfound joy and freedom of expression found its way into his music, and he hasn’t looked back since.

In the years since, he has partnered with a record label, Tree4ort Records, and has put together his first album, “Cruelty.” That album is already highly anticipated along the West Coast and will display his ability to interweave different genres to create original sounds that are rooted in pop, but incorporate a variety of other influences.

Most recently, Allocai has released his new single, “Cloud9,” which is the first track to be released from "Cruelty". A music video for the single is slated to drop in August. The album will tell the story of the ordeal with his father while creating vibes that he hopes will help audiences emote with him.

“It’s a way of experiencing emotions rather than listening to words,” he said. “Each song represents a particular emotion I experienced on my road to recovery. ‘Cloud9’ is a song that represents one of my lowest points and the drug abuse that came with it. It’s a chill, vibey type of feel, and it shows off the kind of music I want to make – anything that can give you a different flavor. My base genre will always be pop but I want to fuse that with things like reggae or hip hop or rock – just anything that will give it a different feel. The ultimate end game is to create music that stays true to a unique artistic sound and is still able to appeal to a contemporary audience. I love dancing as much as I love singing so a lot of dance jams are coming up on this album.”

Allocai said that he’s working hard to release the album before the end of the year.

HIP HOP RECORDING ARTIST 'RANK RATED' TALKS NEW SINGLE 'BAGGAGE' AND MORE!

West Coast artist inspires others to ‘Rank Up’ with new music

RANK RATED (19:11)

Regardless of what we go through in life or what we face, no matter the adversities, we can always elevate. That’s the core concept behind everything that West Coast artist Rank Rated does. His music, his art and his message is all about being better. And the long road he’s been on – from homelessness to successful entertainer – is a testament that with determination and a dream, you can fulfill your destiny.

Two of his most recent singles by upcoming composer PacoTheProducer– “Valid” and “Baggage” – speak directly to that life motto and tap into depths of his talent in ways that bring forward a new wave of sound and style for a generation desperate for something original. With “Valid” which is slated to drop on July 26, Rank Rated rails against the social norm of validation that pops up in multiple places of our lives.

“Everyone is looking for validation today,” he said. “We live in a time where everything has to have validation – whether it’s a credit score or experience in whatever industry you’re in, or even likes on social media. Whatever it is, we’re all seeking some type of validation and more often than not, we’re seeking that from other individuals. I had people who told me I couldn’t do certain things, but here I am. I validated myself and pushed forward based on what I knew I could do.”

Rank also reveals how through social media and mutual friends he has met people like DJ FiveVenoms, director JDfilms, and Quavo. He also stated an affiliation with JGreen (of YNW), whose manager Rank has been in contact with for a while and who he respectfully calls “Unc.” Rank also noted his independence through platform United Masters which features other artists such as Lil Tecca and Choppa on their roster. With “Baggage,” which was released in June, Rank Rated explores the hard work it takes to attain success. And once you achieve that success, the symbols that come with that, such as the baggage you bring with you as you’re traveling the world, can be an affirmation of that hard work that brought you to this point.

“I’m doing my thing right now, living my life and catching flights,” he said. “That’s what this song is about. It’s about getting to the money, a fun song that really says, ‘I don’t care what anybody else has to say.’”

“At the end of the day, I hope my music is known for being inspirational, in a way,” Rank Rated said. “I was able to do it so you can, too. Ranking up is something everyone can and should do, whether that’s getting a promotion at a job or trying to create a better life for yourself. Rank is having status. Rank is everything. So tell your haters to Rank Up.

In addition to his two most recent singles, Rank Rated has also released a new EP called “Far From Regular” which is available on all digital distribution outlets. With catchy lines about baggage and baguettes that slide on the beat, fans will definitely be eager to hear more.

HIP HOP RECORDING ARTIST 'KIGA' TALKS NEW SINGLE 'WOCK$TAR' AND MORE!

Kiga to Finally Release “Wock$tar” as a Summer Anthem

KIGA2 (29:12)

HACKENSACK, NJ – Taking the underground hip hop/rap scene by storm is the musical menace who is known simply as Kiga, and his journey to success hasn’t always been easy. He reflects back to when he was younger, as he always loved music as a form of self-expression. His passion for writing meaningful lyrics has only grown over the years- believe it or not he has a background in poetry. When he realized he could take his lyrics inside the studio and completely transform them artistically, all bets were officially off.

When it comes to his overall aesthetic as an artist, his flows are incredibly versatile. In the beginning, he started out writing music for his own personal entertainment, but people would continually gravitate to him and his sound. “People heard my music and would tell me how dope it was. My first project I ever put out brought in over 35,000 streams on its first debut. I’ve just used that as motivation to keep it going up from here,” said Kiga. Simply put, you’ll have to see, or hear, what we’re talking about for yourself. Kiga doesn’t define himself by any musical genre- he expresses himself freely, which makes his entire artistry stand out from the rest.

Kiga doesn’t set rules for himself. In fact, he believes to his core that there’s no right or wrong way when it comes to music. “I have a rule that all of my songs need to sound different from one another. I just make music that feels and sounds good to me. I can’t put it into a genre,” said the artist. With all that being said, he has formed a strategy when it comes to releasing music. In everything he does, he makes sure he’s always putting his best foot forward, especially when it involves his music releases.

Fans will be excited to learn that he’s finally releasing a song he’s been teasing for a while, his new single, “Wock$tar”. This banger is sure to be on rotation all summer and have everyone going wild. “This is the type of song you turn all the way up when it comes on. I have people stop me all the time asking me when I’m going to finally release the track, and I just feel now it’s time. This song is going to have people turning up all summer. The WOCK$TAR vibes are too strong, resistance is futile” said Kiga.

That sounds like a plan to us. Plainly said, Kiga wants everyone to “prepare for the takeover because Jersey is up next”. And in true Kiga fashion, he closes out with his trademark: Kigaworrrdd.

HIP HOP AND R&B RECORDING ARTIST 'ANGELYNN' TALKS NEW EP 'Gi Gi' AND MORE!

Hot new artist Angelynn arrives on the scene with new EP ‘GiGi’ featuring standout single ‘No Love Lost’

Angelynn (20:46)

PORTLAND, OR – Like most people, music is an emotional outlet for hip hop and R&B artist Angelynn. When she’s hurting, when she’s happy, when she just wants to be chill and vibe out, no matter the emotion, there’s always a song that she can connect with. It’s what has motivated her throughout most of her life, and it’s what sparked within her a deep desire to create music that would connect emotionally with others and provide a similar outlet.

After many years of hard work and perfecting her craft, Angelynn is ready to release her debut EP. It’s a five-track project called “GiGi” which dropped on June 22. Every song is written and recorded by Angelynn under her independent label Angelynn Entertainment. She said the project is one that almost anyone could listen to and relate with, with vibes for multiple emotions.

“I just want people to relate to my music and to feel good,” she said. “Music makes me feel good, and that’s what I want to give to other people. When they’re hurting and want to smoke and listen to music, they can turn on my song ‘Smoke in my Face’ because it’s relatable and reflects how they feel in the moment. They can just relate to and feel my music and go to it when they need to express how they feel. Sometimes, people don’t know how to put their feelings into words, but I feel like I can do that for them through my music.”

The five songs on the album are “No Love Lost” which was the debut single, “Flow,” “Good Energy,” “Lie After Lie” and “Smoke in My Face.” She currently has two music videos on her YouTube channel for “No Love Lost” and “Flow” and is working on more music videos to follow soon.

“No Love Lost” has been the single getting the most attention to date. It’s about a woman who is getting cheated on by a man. He doesn’t know she knows, and so she cheats back.

“I had to play a character when I wrote it because I would never do that,” Angelynn said. “I would never play the revenge card and cheat on a man if he cheated on me. I’d just leave. If I didn’t love the guy I was with, I would cheat if he cheated on me, but not if I really loved him. So it’s basically a song about revenge. It’s aggressive but chill as well. It feels good to sing – empowering. I wouldn’t want a man to cheat on me or for me to cheat back. But if it happened, I probably didn’t love him in the first place which is why it’s called ‘No Love Lost.’”

“Flow” is another single that’s been getting a lot of attention from the EP. It has more of a jazzy feel with some strong R&B vibes. Angelynn said it’s a song about going with the flow and how she expresses her personality – how she tends to go with the flow in most situations. Lil Reno of LSO Films directed the music video for the song while she did the final edit of the video. She said she loved the experience and is eager to do it again for more of her songs in the future.

She also said she enjoyed working with her sister who served as a producer for some of the music on her EP. She comes from a musical family – her older twin sisters are artists in the Portland area and her Uncle Rudy is a jazz player in Los Angeles. Angelynn said she’s eager to continue the family legacy and put her own name out there as a musician to pay attention to.

HIP HOP RECORDING ARTIST PRESTON WAYNE DROPS NEW SINGLE "PROBLEM" - Q&A PODCAST

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST BELOW!

Preston Wayne (15:33)

Download the MP3

Preston Wayne has no problem blending smooth rap with a tight melody in his new single “Problem”

LOS ANGELES, CA - Rap artist Preston Wayne’s new single, “Problem” is a super party record with a ton of energy. Released in late June, “Problem” is a song that anyone can relate to. “We all feel like at some point we’re a problem,” said Wayne. Written in his living room, Wayne describes the song as “Very crazy. Something you want to play at night on your way out to hit the town.”

Rising from his own problems (sleeping on the floor in a house full of college students and eating ramen noodles every day), Preston recently performed at the EmergeLV Festival in Las Vegas. That’s one thing he loves about the music business - entertaining. For Wayne, it feels “overwhelming, in a good way. You feel accomplished when people like your stuff. When I can make a thousand or five thousand people feel the same and like and enjoy something, it feels really good … like I ran a 5K and took first place. It also makes you want to get even better, to do the same to a million other people.”

Two years ago, Wayne left a thriving rap music scene in Billings, Montana where he and his crew had been going strong for years. Although the city is exploding with new talent and is a stop for touring rap artists, Wayne was ready to move forward and relocated to Los Angeles to take his career to the next level. It was a big change. Coming from Billings where people wave to each other, Wayne had never seen highways with more than two lanes before moving out to the coast. These days, when he needs rejuvenation, he can at least go to the beach!

Derryck “Big Tank” Thornton of One Tyme Entertainment (Fabolous, Zane, Queen Latifah, Tech N9ne, Christina Aguilera & Pussycat Dolls) discovered Preston through a mutual connection of Preston’s brother, Austin. Tank heard something in Preston and requested a meeting. After signing Preston, Tank reached out to his longtime friend - one of the most prolific A&R minds in the game and former president of Aftermath, Mike Lynn (Eminem, 50 Cent, Game, Eve, Lukas Graham, Anderson .Paak & Bruno Mars) - to partner on Preston Wayne. Mike Lynn, together with his business partner and branding maven, Dano Leman founded Reven8te which is an imprint distributed by INgrooves/UMG and they immediately believed in Preston Wayne and offered to team up with Big Tank’s One Tyme Entertainment. Preston’s team is strong and he’s come out swinging.

As a brand new artist who is just getting started, the extreme stuff hasn’t happened yet. But there’s a storm coming. Preston has thousands of hot songs stacked up. Currently putting together an album, he feels that singles are important and function as “One-song albums.” “When I’ve looked at a lot of albums, they always do their high numbers on the first three tracks. Why not drop a bunch of one-song albums, technically, so you know that they’re listening? Dropping singles is the most effective way of getting your music heard all the way through.”

You will definitely want to listen all the way through and listen carefully for hidden references to his home state. Preston says “I’m always gonna leave hints about Montana!”
