CHILLIN WITH THE MISSISSIPPI BRAVES

In an effort to get people to give blood, we had the Mississippi Braves in the house today. The M Braves (AA Atlanta Braves) minor league team, are very popular around this neck of the woods. It was nice to see the people show up. Big thanks for our Mississippi Braves today!

COONEY'S THOUGHTS

What's up readers and stalkers? Things have been pretty busy as of late, but everything is excellent. Be sure to check out my website for all of today's boxing news. Last night I spoke with the new WBC Silver welterweight champion Josesito Lopez. He stunned the boxing world by defeating Victor Ortiz.
I also spoke with Top Rank boss man Bob Arum. He gave me a nice update on Manny Pacquiao, and the upcoming Nonito Donaire fight. Check that out at 8CountNews.com as well.
On a personal note, my awesome, beautiful God Daughter will be competing in the MS Vietnam beauty pageant next week. I'm so proud of her and love her very much. I am blessed to have both her and my little Lanvy in my life. My Nephew, US Marine Brendan Cooney will be deploying to Afghanistan this fall. My stomach is knotted up, and I will be worried sick until he returns. I'm extremely proud of him. To serve our nation is an honorable thing. Not everyone has the balls, the muster, or the will to serve in our Armed Forces.
Lastly, I couldn't be happier with my new employer. Great atmosphere, my new team is outstanding. I have been here for 3 months now, and have ZERO regrets with the decision that I made. I hope all of you have a great 4th of July!

COONEY'S THOUGHTS

It's been a really good year so far. My Nephew became a United States Marine on Dec 16th. He is currently out at 29 Palms in training for his deployment to Afghanistan that will happen this fall. I'm so proud of Brendan, and ask that all of you keep him in your prayers as he goes off to defend our nation. Things are great with my life personally. My beautiful God daughter, who I see as a real genuine daughter, took me out for Father's Day. She's such a wonderful spirit. Her good nature, and positive outlook on life is contagious. My little one Lanvy is currently out in California with her Auntie. I miss her! 8CountNews.com is about to be the NEW 8CountNews.com. We are going with a new look, a new server, a new everything. We will be launching it in the coming weeks. I have current trips planned for Connecticut in September...and Boston, Mass sometime this Fall as well. My Nephew will be home in Connecticut for pre deployment leave. I'll fly up to see him. I will be visiting my good friend and business partner, Ed Anderson in Boston this Fall as well. I very much look forward to a tour of the city and it's surrounding communities. There's an update on me, my family, the website, and what's coming up.
