Title Fight Night at the Fitz! (8/13/07)

TUNICA, MS: Prize Fight Boxing returns to the Fitz Hotel & Casino on September 1st and will be presenting an unprecedented night of boxing.
The main event on the card will feature Southaven, Mississippi's own DeAndrey Abron 13-1 (10 KO's) as he battles undefeated Shane Benfield 17-0 (9 KO's) from York, SC for the vacant NABO Light Heavyweight Championship. Mid-South fight fans will remember Abron from his previous fights at the Fitz that saw him knock out his last 5 straight opponents in devastating fashion. Most recently Abron stopped Marvin Hunt in the first minute of round one with a vicious overhand right on July 14th. Conversely, Benfield will make his way to Tunica in search of respect and hopefully a future world title shot
should he be able to get by Abron. Benfield goes by "The Irish Hitman" and fights just like the name sounds, action packed and non-stop. Fight fans can catch a sneak peek at Abron as he will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Memphis Redbirds game on August 30th at AutoZone Park.
A feature bout on the card will display power punching fan favorite Jason Ross 2-2 (2 KO's) from Southaven, MS against the slugging John Wicks from Birmingham, AL who will be making his pro debut on the fight card.
The exciting line up doesn't end there as there is an unbelievable female fight between Kita Watkins 2-1 (2 KO's) from nearby Little Rock, AR and Nicole Woods from Atlanta, GA who will be making her pro debut.
Talented amateur star and most recent Prize Fight signing Mark Davis, Jr. from Cleveland, OH will make his pro debut on the card.
Further, Zab Judah's younger brother Yosef Judah from Brooklyn, New York and Tim Van Newhouse from Cleveland, OH will be making their pro debuts to complete the six bout card.
