My Nephew, Brendan Cooney crossed the finish line this morning and became a United States Marine. Brendan has been on Parris Island, SC for the past 3 months training to become a Marine, and after 3 months, and a 58 mile Crucible, this morning he transitioned from recruit to Marine.
I'm so proud of him. I leave for Parris Island, SC on Tuesday. I can't wait to see him on Thursday at family day, and then again on graduation day which is Friday, Dec 16th.
