43 TODAY - A LOOK BACK AT 42 - THINGS THAT WERE GOOD AND THINGS THAT BLEW

Well, today is my 43rd birthday and it's been quite a year. Let me take a look back and recap my 42nd year on God's earth. (The picture is of the lake across the street from my home in Brandon, Mississippi. A fitting picture, a beautiful October day, on my birthday :-)

Things that were good -

Meeting my lady friend Renee :-)

MY TRIPS TO LOS ANGELES - spending time with family out there, and my Wild Card Gym family as well. Freddie Roach - "Freddie, thanks for your friendship, and all of the insight and advice on things." Spending time with my dear friend Terri (she's so beautiful)

BOXING HERALD - Joining forces with Boxing Herald was such a great move. To be able to work with people that aren't hypocritcal idiots is always a good thing.

VACATION IN CONNECTICUT/PROVIDENCE RI - Spending time with my brother Scott, nephew Brendan, and Sister in Law, Demaree. Visiting my friend Peter Manfredo Jr in Providence. "Peter, thanks for the awesome Italian food at Angelo's in Providence!" Spending time with my friends Roland and Jason Estrada at the gym in Providence. "Roland and Jason, thanks for the hospitality guys!"

BOXING DIGEST MAGAZINE - Writing articles for the best boxing magazine in the USA! "Thanks to my boy Sean Sullivan."

PROMOTION AT WORK - Working with all of my local Law Enforcement - Cracking stolen credit card cases, identity theft, stolen check cases, counterfeit money. SHOUT OUT to Doug Tyrone over at the Attorney General's Office, Sgt Brian Ellis over at Pearl Police Dept, Detective McCarley, Jake Windham (Attorney General's Office)

POLITICS - It was a true honor to get to spend some time with the former 1st daughter, Chelsea Clinton. Additionaly, it was an honor to meet Governor Haley Barbour in Biloxi as well. Being a full supporter of Barack Obama in 2008!

SPORTS - Watching the Tampa Bay Rays send the Boston DEAD Sox packing!

THINGS THAT BLEW

The passing of Paul Newman and Bernie Mack.

Economy tanking

Dealing with diabetic issues, and blood pressure.

Missing my pop around the fall time (September October especially)

Yankee's not making the post season

43 is going to be a great year! I have big things planned for the upcoming year and I look forward to it!
