PAVLIK DECISIONS TAYLOR IN A CLOSE TACTICAL FIGHT

Undisputed middleweight world champion Kelly Pavlik remained undefeated by once again defeating Jermain Taylor. This time it went to the cards, with Pavlik getting the unanimous decision. In my humble opinion, I thought the fight was a lot closer than what 2 of the three judges thought. Basically it came down to volume vs power shots. Ironically, Taylor seemed to have landed the more power shots, with Pavlik establishing a nice jab, and the fact that was the aggressor. Next up for Pavlik seems to be either John Duddy, or Felix Trinidad. Taylor will more than likely take some time of and regroup at the middleweight division.
