ISHE SMITH STOPS CARLOS DE LA CRUZ IN LESS THAN TWO
Friday night at the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, Florida, junior middleweight contender Ishe Smith stopped Carlos De La Cruz at 2:35 in the second round. After coming out strong in the first, impressively outboxing the powerful De La Cruz, Smith continued his onslaught in the second round landing a unbelievable amount of punishment to his opponent's head and body. By the time Smith had landed three consecutive punches to the side of De La Cruz' head, the third man in the ring stepped in to save him from further damage. With this victory Smith improves to 19-2 (9 KO's), while De La Cruz drops to 10-11 (10 KO's).
