One day last week I read an article by Brad Berkwitt that said Golden Johnson had signed a contract to fight Antonio Margarito. OK, well that's all well and good, BUT I wanted to look further into that. I called "Jesse" James Leija, Golden's co manager/trainer, and asked him about this news. Leija had no clue about a contract being signed, and disputed what Ringsidereport had reported. I then wrote my piece on Boxingtalk.com and within the piece I used the words, "contrary to what another website reported, Golden Johnson has NOT signed a contract, but a fight between the two is in the works." Ringsidereport got their little panties in a twist when they read my piece, and released a full fledged attack press release against this writer. What a masterful pathetic all time low, to save face by attacking the writer who got to the truth of a story, instead of issuing an apology presser to the FEW readers that they get at Ringsidereport.
